Republic of Moldova joins the European Patent Organisation
On 1 June 2026, the Republic of Moldova became the 40th member state of the European Patent Organisation (EPO). From that date, European patent applications automatically designate Moldova, removing the need to pay a separate validation fee for applications filed on or after that date, including relevant PCT applications.
