7 years from the filing date, and every 14 years thereafter;
A 6-month grace period is available.

Use Provisions

Non-use of a trade mark for a period of 5 years from registration renders it vulnerable to an action for cancellation by third parties.

Patent Information

Substantive (without priority claims);
Reregistration of granted UK and EP(UK) patents.

International Arrangements

Convention priority cannot be claimed.

Duration

Substantive patents are valid for 16 years from their filing date, extensible by a further period of 7 years upon request;
Reregistration patents expire upon the expiration of the corresponding parent UK/EP(UK) patent.

Renewal

Patent renewal fees are not payable in Bermuda.

Design Information

Duration
