Notwithstanding the tragic circumstances currently ongoing in the Ukraine, the Ukrainian PTO continues to function largely as normal by virtue of the remote working of the majority of its personnel and via online filings. Martial law was introduced in Ukraine on 24th February 2022, and due to force majeure circumstances, it is possible that any missed deadlines can be extended or restored. However, it is recommended that, wherever possible, IPR holders and applicants should follow the "normal" course of action in the Ukraine and rely on exemptions only in exceptional circumstances.
